Brisbane Marine Industry Park (BMIP) is “the address” for Brisbane’s marine industry. Spanning 40 hectares of land on the Brisbane River, the park is Australia’s leading multi-function marine precinct development.

Current facilities include 600 tonne and 65 tonne travelifts, mobile cranes of up to 120 tonne capacity, 24-hours access and lift service, security and communications services.
Over 30 businesses are currently located at the BMIP, providing specialist services in the areas of electrical, marine engineering, painting, refitting, TBT antifouling, ship building and repair.
The BMIP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Viking Industries, which has invested significant capital in infrastructure since 2002 to allow tenants to compete on a global scale over a range of markets, in particular the high growth market for luxury superyacht refit and repair.
A 6.3 ha site is under development to create an enduring fabrication capability at BMIP to provide facilities for future construction projects such as the CBI/Bechtel refinery module work, and for the Royal Australian Navy’s upcoming air warfare destroyer and amphibious ship programs.
